I know I flubbed up last month and didn't get to post an "official" Jaxon update, so I planned waaay ahead this month (and actually wrote this on the first so it'd be ready to publish today!)
Our sweet Jaxon is half-way to his first birthday!
He's big and funny and sweet and cuddly and giggly and adorable and drooling and rolling over and teething and eating and sleeping. All the wonderful things that six-month-old babies are supposed to do, he's doing them in style.
He has the Superman-pose down pat, and loves to lay on his belly in front of a mirror just admiring his handsome self. He enjoys diaper-free time and playing with that fun little thing between his legs -- I didn't realize boys started that quite so early, but hey! it's a new adventure every day having a son. His sisters are his favorite people in the world, especially his biggest sister -- he'd worship Rhealen more if she'd actually just talk to him instead of randomly smacking him or sitting on top of him!

I love this little roly-poly guy of ours -- he's been my best little man from day one, but recently he's starting to really like his daddy. And it's been killing me a little, I totally admit! I've always been #1 (with both of the girls, despite what they say about little girls belonging to their daddies), and so it's been an adjustment not being the chosen one. When Justin walks into the room, Jaxon hears him long before he sees him and just starts grinning and turning his entire body to find him. Justin will walk towards him and those little legs start kicking and his arms go straight up. I didn't think six-month-olds could reach for people, but Jaxon sure does. Cue the tears now...I so wanted a momma's boy!
He's doing great with his eye-patch treatment -- so much in fact, I'm hopeful that the change is enough to avoid surgery altogether!
This month he got to meet his great-grandparents for the first time; he's just now (like, within the past two weeks) getting over his extreme shyness and avoidance of other people, so meeting new faces is kind of hit or miss with him. Luckily, with each passing day he seems more comfortable in crowds and happier to be passed around (which in my family, is a must -- there's always a handful of people fighting over the babies to be held!).
He's eating more solid-ish foods and has figured out that everyone sitting around the table equals food to be tried! I have a feeling this boy is going to make our grocery bill skyrocket...heaven help us all in the teenage years.
This dude completes our family, he makes all of it so much more, and we just adore him for every smile he gives us.
Six months. Six months has just flown right by us.
