Sidney Morgan 3.10

My big girl, just a few weeks away from her fourth birthday. Time slows down for no one apparently, even if you wish and pray and beg and plead for it to go by just a little slower.

Sidney is her usual amazingly amazing self, smarter every day and such an independing little thing. She's proud to tell everyone how much she weighs now (48.5 lbs) and is so excited about starting school on 08/15. Of course, she tells everyone she'll be in third grade as opposed to pre-k (but that's just because her Gran teaches third grade!) so I think she's still got a few things to figure out about this entire "school" thing.

Sidney loves being a sister, loves to shower her little "sissy" in kisses and pats and hugs, although sometimes she can be a bit too rough around the edges - her Daddy is completely to blame for all her tomboy ways! Justin recently bought her her very first baseball glove and has been playing catch out in the yard. She was doing so well and was so enthusiastic about it until she took a ball to the face. Now, she's kind of mixed on the whole baseball subject.

There are a million little things about her I love and want to remember forever. Just the other day she tried to take credit for creating the song "Ring Around the Rosie" by telling me she just "made it up" when I asked her where she learned it from. She loves for me to talk about her when she was a baby. She can walk all the way out to her Papaw's house by herself now. She knows that apples make you "poop easier" and will tell you when she needs to eat more of them. She hates being in the dark by herself and will make me leave the light on in the bedroom until Justin goes to bed with her. She has both an imagination and a vocabulary like I've never seen from a three-year-old. In a serendipitous little way, some of her best friends are twins (twin girls older than her and twin boys younger than her). It's hard to narrow down her "favorite" of anything, but dinosaurs are definitely her favorite subject - movies, toys, clothes, etc. She knows so many of them already, and loves the Brachiosaurus the best.

She is just a joy, plain and simple. Everything I could ever want in a little girl is wrapped up in those curls and blue eyes and big feet. She's an amazing daughter and sister and kid. I just love her to pieces. And it's so hard to believe she's almost four. FOUR.

Time, I know you won't listen to me but could you please slow down just a teensy weensy bit. Please?
